Our vision is a church of genuine, God fearing people, meeting and following our one true God and His son, Jesus Christ, in the power of His Holy Spirit. Our relationship with God is expressed through our discipleship of youth, the fellowship of our church, and by serving the Lord by all means within our capabilities.
In the power of God’s Holy Spirit, our mission is to faithfully disciple our youth; to provide a loving place of fellowship for true believers in Jesus Christ; to serve one another and our world (with special emphasis on the weak, the needy, and the forgotten); and to express God’s love, mercy, and grace through arts and crafts.
Our Goals
- Spiritually lead our church and community through the Holy Spirit.
- Convey God’s unceasing love, grace, and mercy to one another and our world.
- Learn about God, allowing His Holy Spirit to work in and through us.
- Develop scripturally sound ministries that meet people’s greatest needs.
- Demonstrate uncompromising conviction in the truth of the Word of God.
- Emphasize faith and prayer in our daily lives.
- Experience God’s presence in our worship and praise.
- Demonstrate faithfulness and generosity in our giving.
- Organize to reach the goals given to us by God.
- Serve in the strength of our spiritual gifts.
- Demonstrate unity in spirit in all that we do.
- Show Godly love for one another and our community.
- Evangelize and minister to a lost world.
- We will express these goals on three levels: personal, church, and community.
Personal. We will seek to grow spiritually by allowing God to transform us more each day into the likeness of Jesus Christ. Each of us is at a different point in this process, and it continues as long as we live on this earth. We will “fight the good fight” of faith.
Church. We will seek to do our share within the body of Christ of which we are a part. Our fellowship with other believers creates a strong bond that fortifies the church and blesses its activities.
Community. As we each become increasingly transformed into the likeness of Christ, and as we become committed to one another in Christian fellowship, we will come to know how much God loves all people. Accordingly, we will fulfill our duty to love all people and especially to help, as best we can, those in desperate need, both in our own community and in the world.
Our Beliefs
We believe in one God, eternal and loving, who reveals himself in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that God created the heavens and the earth and everything that lives. He is almighty, all-knowing, ever-present. He is holy and righteous; in Him there is no imperfection. He has dominion and authority over all the earth. And yet He has made it known that He loves each and every one of his children with the deep, personal love of a father.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, sent to redeem us from our sin. Born of a virgin and living a sinless life, He was fully man and fully God. To know what God is like, we need only to look at Jesus. By His teaching, by His miracles, wonders, and signs, God revealed Himself to us. And by His death on the cross, He showed us God’s amazing love. Jesus died to pay the penalty for our sin. He was crucified, died, and was buried. But He rose from the dead, ascended into Heaven, and now sits at the right hand of God. By His resurrection, we are assured of God’s victory over sin and death.
We believe that God’s reconciling activity in the world continues to this day, through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, who calls us to repentance and obedience to the will of God. The Holy Spirit baptizes and seals us at the moment of salvation. He dwells in us, ever working to conform us to the image of Christ.
We believe that God created men and women to live in loving relationship with Him and with one another and that He calls us to demonstrate our love by obeying His commandments. But through Adam’s disobedience, the original sin, the human race became alienated from God. We all have inherited a sinful nature and live in a state of separation from God, unable to remedy our lost condition on our own.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of God’s plan to reconcile a lost world to Himself. Through acceptance of Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior, confession of our sins, repentance and commitment to a new life in Christ, we are forgiven and are forever restored in loving relationship with our Creator. Salvation is not achieved by anything we do – not by our works – but by faith in Jesus. It is a gift from God, made possible by Jesus’s death on the cross.
We believe that the Church is the living body of Christ, called to carry out His mission on the earth until He comes again. We are called to a life of sacrifice, manifesting His compassion and love to all who suffer. Jesus came to seek and to save the lost, and so the Church is called to spread the good news of salvation; to lead people to repent and to accept Him as their Savior and Lord and to nurture them in their faith.
We believe that Jesus Christ is coming again. We wait and watch for the day, assured that nothing in life or death can separate us from the love of God in Jesus Christ, our Lord.
