Help your church, your family, and yourself – make good hygiene a habit! This is still cold and flu season, and many of us have been coming down with one or the other lately. Children and the ederly are especially susceptible to catching and spreading respiratory illnesses, because their immune systems are not at full strength. Attendance at school, at work, and at church all are adversely affected. This is a good time to remember to take the following common-sense steps to limit the spread of germs. Parents, please teach your children these steps!
- Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze.
- Put used tissues in a waste basket.
- Clean your hands after coughing or sneezing. Wash hands with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand cleaner.
- If you don’t have a tissue, cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve. (If you do this, then refrain from hugging others.)
- Stay at home if you are sick. Going out in public only risks the spread of disease and may prolong your own illness.
- Don't automatically assume that you have an allergy every time you have a runny nose. If your nose is runny and your eyes are not watery, you probably have a cold.

Secret Pals is an excellent and meaningful way for members of the congregation who attend different worship services to connect on a personal level and find common ground. Those who choose to participate will be assigned a secret pal who attends another worship service. The Deacons and Pastor Jim will assist anyone who would like ideas on how to plan a sharing event, such as writing notes, sharing a favorite meal, or just spending time with your secret pal. The sky's the limit! Everyone in the congregation is encouraged to participate. For more information, please call Polly Ehlers (303-814-2815). |
Session meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the lower level of the Fellowship Hall.
The Deacons meet at 6:00 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month in the lower level of the Fellowship Hall. If you have any concerns or suggestions, please plan on joining us.
